Every year I joke that “I survived another one!” but this go around, it’s never been more true. The year started with the historic LA fires in my neighborhood, but is now wrapping up with the largest scale music and songwriting project of my life. In between, a lot of good change happened - new home, LOTS of new music and affirmation from so many mentors and peers I deeply respect.

This year, I had the opportunity to pursue a specific songwriting dream I’ve had for most of my life AND enlist some very talented friends to join the project. The coming year will reveal the fruits of our labor, but I am EXTREMELY proud of the music we made, the songs we wrote and experiences we share from it.

The holidays have always been my favorite time of year. As a kid, it was because of the gifts, toys, TV specials, lights and all the wonder of the season. Nowadays, all of that still applies, but with the added appreciation of reflecting on surviving the previous months as well as taking inventory of what me and those in my orbit have accomplished in that time. I know 2025 has been challenging for many, but whether you are surviving, thriving or (like most of us) an eventful entanglement of both...know that I’m rooting for you. I hope all the best things are pointed in your direction and this new year will bring it closer to you.
